ALTERNATIVE ENERGY TECHNICIAN (SOLAR)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to join our dynamic team full time. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial and industrial solar installations, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols. This role involves working on rooftops and in various outdoor environments, ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
Responsibilities
Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground mounts.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters to ensure precise installations.
Perform routine maintenance checks on solar systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Operate forklifts safely to transport materials as needed on job sites.

Qualifications and Requirements
2+ years in solar installation or related electrical/construction fields desired.

JOURNEYMAN SOLAR ELECTRICIAN
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our C&I solar construction team full time. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and industrial solar installations including low voltage electrical systems, with an ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Journeyperson Electrician will lead a team and be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in both roof and ground mount solar installations.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of solar systems.
Working with RMC, RAC, EMT conduit. Sizes 1”-4”. Bending and Threading.
Mounting AC Panels, Switches, Junction Boxes, Inverters, Troughs and Data/Coms Equipment.
Setting up and executing long wire pulls.
Testing, commissioning, and operational maintenance.
Receiving and cataloging material and performing job site takeaways.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
Conducting and communicating project takeaways, hazard analysis, after action reports, daily reports, and toolbox talks.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations including LOTO.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
Must have a valid electrician's license from Virginia DPOR.
Has tools and abilities commensurate with the above experience.
Strong knowledge of low voltage systems.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
Experience with both power tools and hand tools commonly used in electrical work.
Familiarity with NEC electrical code and commercial electrician practices and standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and scheduling demands.
Trained and certified to operate basic construction equipment.
Proficiency in Google Suite and ability to learn and use product software.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in solar and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the electrical trade while demonstrating a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Assist electricians with the installation of wiring and equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
